Xiaomi has officially launched its new Redmi Watch 6 smartwatch internationally, months after its initial exclusive release in China.
The first phase of expansion included Poland, Romania, and Thailand, with a special NFC-enabled version available in Poland. This paves the way for its imminent arrival in other global markets and the Middle East.
The watch features a large 2.07-inch AMOLED display, designed to be among the best in its price range, boasting a peak brightness of 2000 nits. This high level of brightness, supported by ultra-thin bezels of less than 2mm and an 82% screen-to-body ratio, ensures optimal viewing even in bright sunlight, while maintaining smooth scrolling thanks to a 60Hz refresh rate.
In terms of design and durability, Xiaomi has opted for an aluminum alloy casing that is 1.4mm thinner than the previous generation, with a noticeable increase in structural rigidity. The company added a new physical button next to the stainless steel dial, allowing users quick access to the control center or emergency assistance with a triple press, enhancing the convenience and safety of everyday use.
As for performance and battery life, the watch offers a significant leap forward; its 550mAh battery provides up to 24 days of light use and 12 days of continuous use.
Xiaomi hasn’t neglected fitness and health, equipping the watch with 150 sports modes, a precise GNSS positioning system supported by dual antennas, and a comprehensive suite of 24/7 heart rate, oxygen, sleep, and stress monitoring.
