In a move that underscores the transformation of artificial intelligence from a mere technological tool into a fully-fledged “star-making” industry, OpenArt and Fanvue have launched the biggest global challenge of 2026 to select the “Best AI Personality,” offering substantial cash and promotional prizes to attract creators from around the world.
Five competition tracks… and the goal: a “complete influencer.” The competition, which runs until April 19, isn’t just looking for realistic images, but rather “personalities” capable of building and engaging with an audience. The competition is divided into five main tracks: entertainment, lifestyle, comedy, fitness, and fantasy/anime.
The first-place winner will receive a cash prize of $6,000, in addition to a $2,000 promotional package and comprehensive marketing support. The remaining prizes will be distributed among the top performers in the various tracks and in categories determined by public voting (such as the most viral video).
A 100% Human Judging Panel… Led by the “Creators of Digital Legends”
Unlike the “Miss AI” pageant in 2024, which featured virtual judges, this competition boasts an entirely human judging panel comprised of 11 experts. Ironically, these same individuals are the creators of some of the world’s most famous virtual personalities, including:
Diana Núñez Morales: The mastermind behind “Aitana,” the virtual model who earns €10,000 per month.
Cameron Wilson: The creator of “Shudu,” the world’s first digital fashion model.
Christopher Townsend: The creator of the iconic “Solomon Ray” persona.
These judges will not only assess visual quality but will also look for “digital charisma” and commercial appeal.
A Billion-Dollar Market: Will Machines Replace Traditional “Influencers”?
This competition comes at a time when the virtual influencer market is experiencing unprecedented growth. Its value was estimated at around $6 billion in 2024 and is expected to jump to $46 billion by 2030.
It has become increasingly difficult to distinguish these avatars from real people, especially with the integration of ElevenLabs’ audio technologies that give them hyper-realistic human voices.
Entry Requirements: Creativity and Reach
To enter the competition, participants must build their avatars using the OpenArt platform and launch public accounts for them on TikTok or Instagram, posting at least four videos during the challenge period.
The true criterion for winning will not only be “photographic realism” but also “social influence”—that is, the avatar’s ability to garner real followers and interactions from a human audience.
