Global superstar Rihanna has achieved another remarkable milestone, becoming the first woman in music history to surpass 200 million certified single sales, according to the Recording Industry Association of America.
This impressive figure reflects her enduring global influence and her ability to maintain her position among the top music stars despite shifting market trends.
As of April, her sales reached 200.5 million certified units, placing her third on the all-time best-selling singles list, behind Drake (277.5 million units) and Morgan Wallen (215 million units).
This remarkable achievement comes despite Rihanna’s absence from releasing full albums for nearly a decade. Her last album, ANTI, released in 2016, achieved widespread critical and commercial success, featuring a collection of her most popular tracks that remain highly sought after today.
Since then, Rihanna has expanded her activities beyond music, focusing on her fashion and entrepreneurial ventures, while maintaining a selective artistic presence by releasing a limited number of singles for special occasions or film projects.
Among her most notable contributions are the song “Lift Me Up” from the film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which garnered significant attention, and “Friends of Mine” from the 2025 film The Smurfs.
