Microsoft announced at its developer conference that the “Auto SR” feature will be added to the Asus ROG Xbox All-in-One X in April, according to reports.
This feature was originally exclusive to PCs running the Copilot+ platform with Snapdragon X or X2 processors. This technology will give players higher frame rates thanks to AI processing, which allows the system to run games at lower resolutions and then upscale them to a higher resolution.
A Significant Performance Improvement
In a video posted on the X platform, Microsoft showcased Forza Horizon 5 running on the Ally X. The game recorded 35 frames per second before the technology was enabled, while performance jumped to approximately 51 frames per second after Auto SR was activated.
The company confirms that enabling this feature will mean an almost 30% increase in frame rate while maintaining nearly identical visual quality. However, it should be noted that this feature, which only supports games using DirectX 11 or 12, may cause some lag in its current version.
An Upcoming Update for the Best Mobile Device
This update is a significant upgrade for the device, which is already considered the best gaming laptop available. It’s currently on the market. The company didn’t clarify in the video whether this feature will also be available on the less powerful version (the original ROG Xbox Ally) or remain exclusive to the higher-end X version.
