MBC Egypt witnessed a breathtaking night of “Battles” on the talent show “The Voice Kids,” a stage that presented the star coaches – Rami Sabry, Dalia Mubarak, and Al-Shami – with crucial, unavoidable decisions. Each team of 12 talents was narrowed down to a single voice advancing to the live shows.
The Battles weren’t just a competition; they transformed into a human drama, marked by the children’s tears and the shock of elimination that rocked social media.
The shock of the season: Emilia Jabr’s elimination ignites social media. The episode delivered its first major surprise with the departure of young Emilia Jabr, the “trend icon” who captivated audiences from her very first appearance in the “Blind Auditions.” Despite her exceptional performance, her elimination came as a huge shock to her fans on social media, amidst widespread public sadness. Meanwhile, praise poured in for the Iraqi talent, Murad, who secured the qualification spot with a voice described as “fiery and devastating.”
Tears on Stage: Louji Breaks Down, Dalia Mubarak Comforts Her
In a moving scene that brought tears to the eyes of the audience, Egyptian contestant Louji (from Dalia Mubarak’s team) couldn’t hold back her tears, collapsing on stage in tears immediately after her defeat to Murad was announced. This followed a fierce musical duel in which they sang “Ghibi Ya Shams” by Melhem Zein and “I’tazalt El Gharam” by Magida El Roumi.
This breakdown prompted artist Dalia Mubarak to quickly intervene behind the open microphone to console and embrace her, delivering a strong message of support to the two young girls, Louji and Emilia, saying: “This is a wonderful experience that you have both learned from, and The Voice Kids stage is just the beginning… You will leave here and continue your journey and become stars one day.”
Al-Shami and Rami Sabry Confidently Finalize Their Choices
On the other side of the battles, the coaches’ decisions went smoothly for other talents; star Rami Sabry made his decision early by choosing contestant Ziad Al-Sahati to continue with his team, while artist Al-Shami renewed his confidence in contestant Adam, who received warm applause and a great reaction from the studio audience.
A Flashback… “Double Sadness” and Yara’s Unfinished Surprise
This emotionally charged atmosphere brought back memories of what happened in the previous episode with the Egyptian contestant Yara, who experienced “double sadness”; The first was tears of heartbreak after no coach paid attention to her while she was singing “Ala Hasab Wedad Qalbi” by Abdel Halim Hafez, and the second was tears of overwhelming joy that shocked her feelings behind the scenes of the preparations, when she was surprised by the entry of her sister who had been absent from her for many years, who hugged her and said: “Everyone heard your voice.. What do you think of the surprise?”
