Islam, the real-life protagonist of the series “The Story of Narges,” expressed his distress from the moment he learned the details of the show and was dissatisfied with how his story was portrayed.
During his appearance on the program “All the Talk” with journalist Amr Hafez, he explained that he stopped watching the series and only watched the final episode, driven by curiosity to see how the ending would be presented.
Islam criticized the ending of “The Story of Narges,” believing that the show focused on several aspects but neglected the core of his real suffering. He said, “The series focused on everything except Islam. The boy appeared lost in the street, but they ignored years of pain and suffering.”

Islam, who calls himself “The Lost One,” revealed that he embarked on a grueling search for his identity, undergoing 55 DNA tests with 55 different families in an attempt to find his real parents after being kidnapped as a child by Aziza El-Saadawi.
He added that Aziza, known as “Aziza, Daughter of Iblis,” was the only thread that could lead him to the truth. He noted that he managed to find her in the Moharram Bek district of Alexandria, years after her release from prison, and they recognized each other immediately.
He continued that Aziza gave conflicting accounts of his identity. At one point, she claimed he was her sister’s son, before tests proved her sister was infertile. On other occasions, she insisted he was her son, despite tests confirming her inability to conceive.
Regarding his final attempts to uncover the truth, Islam explained that he held Aziza captive in his home for 40 days, trying to pressure her into confessing, but she continued to mislead him and change her story.
He confirmed that in a shocking moment, Aziza threw herself from the window of the fourth floor, ending her life inside a hospital, amidst a state of shock, noting that in her last moments he tried to extract the truth from her, saying: “Tell me, Aziza, whose son am I? Don’t die before I know the truth,” so she uttered a new name that opened another door for him to search for his true roots.
