Director Mohamed Abdel-Tawab confirmed that the ending of the series “Ward Ala Ful wa Yasmin” was a point of contention among the cast and crew, and that he defended it along with writers Amr Samir Atef and Wael Hamdy, despite the actors’ and producer’s initial rejection.

He noted that “Ward Ala Ful wa Yasmin” marks his third collaboration with writer Amr Samir Atef, while it is his first with writer Wael Hamdy. He also mentioned that he always prefers reading scripts in print rather than on electronic devices.

He added, “I read the script about a year and a half ago, and I finished reading 15 episodes in one day for the first time in my life, due to the smooth writing, the authenticity of the characters, and the dialogue. When producer Mustafa El-Awady sent me the script, I immediately told him that this project had to be completed.”

Abdel-Tawab also revealed a disagreement he had with producer Tamer Mortada regarding the series’ opening credits. He explained that he preferred to begin the series with only background music, while the producer insisted on a theme song, a view also supported by the Shahid platform team, particularly Aya Medhat.

He added that Tamer Mortada also objected to the series’ ending, telling him that the Egyptian audience wouldn’t accept it. However, he stood by his opinion regarding the opening credits, commenting, “I admitted to him after the series aired that he was right, because the credits achieved great success.”

Regarding the use of artificial intelligence in creating opening credits, Mohamed Abdel-Tawab affirmed that these technologies have become part of the industry’s future. He pointed out that artificial intelligence represents a reality that cannot be ignored, and therefore it must be studied and employed correctly to serve artistic works. He emphasized that those who don’t keep up with these tools will miss out on future development opportunities.
