In an unprecedented achievement in the world of digital content creation, the famous American YouTuber “MrBeast” has become the first content creator in YouTube history to surpass 500 million subscribers.
The “MrBeast” channel was launched on February 20, 2012, with its young founder, Jimmy Donaldson, posting his first video just one day after the channel’s launch, according to the news agency Kazinform.
In his early days, Donaldson focused primarily on video game content, producing videos about popular games such as Minecraft, Pokémon Online, and Call of Duty. Over time, he underwent a radical and comprehensive transformation in his creative direction and content production.
MrBeast gained overwhelming global fame through organizing massive challenges, hugely budgeted experiments, reality TV-style programs, and large-scale charitable initiatives. His popular video, “Real-Life Squid Game with a $456,000 Prize,” is one of his most successful and beloved videos, currently nearing one billion views.
The young content creator’s first major turning point came in 2017 when he posted a video of himself counting from 1 to 10,000 nonstop. The three-hour-long video went viral and has since garnered over 68 million views.
Today, Mr. Beast is widely regarded as one of the most influential content creators in YouTube history and a pioneer of big-budget online entertainment. His videos regularly feature major cash prizes, cars, houses, and other valuable rewards for participants.
James “Jimmy” Donaldson was born on May 7, 1998, in Kansas, USA. He launched his YouTube channel at the age of 13 and, in just a few years, has become the largest personal channel on the global platform.
In a related context, the agency “Casinoform” had previously indicated the success of the famous Korean girl group “Blackpink” in reaching 100 million subscribers on YouTube, becoming the first channel for an artist or musical group to achieve this record.
