In a move to boost the value of its cloud services, Google has launched a limited-time promotion offering Google One subscribers a significant discount of up to 50% on a full year’s YouTube Premium subscription. This offer comes shortly after the company increased storage capacity for AI Pro subscribers earlier this month.
The offer is exclusively available to Google One Premium subscribers who pay $9.99 per month for 2TB or more of storage. Therefore, users of the following plans are not eligible for the discount:
Basic Plan (100GB)
Standard Plan (200GB)
Google AI Plus Plan (valued at $7.99 per month)
Geographic Scope and Savings
The offer is currently limited to users in only six countries: Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, and the United States.
Under this offer, subscribers will receive a 50% discount for 12 months on YouTube Premium, which currently costs $15.99 per month (or $159.99 per year) in the US following the recent price increase.
Expiration Date and How to Activate It
Google confirmed to 9to5Google that this offer is available for a limited time, ending on April 29. To take advantage of the discount, users must follow these steps:
Cancel your current YouTube Premium subscription (if applicable).
Resubscribe through the official Google One website.
It’s worth noting that AI Pro subscribers already receive a small discount on YouTube Premium, while the service is a fully included free feature for subscribers of the higher-tier AI Ultra plan.
