Actor Hesham Maged celebrated the phenomenal success of his new film “Barshama” in theaters, after it surpassed 200 million Egyptian pounds in total revenue, becoming one of the highest-grossing comedies of recent times.
Maged shared this achievement with his fans, posting a screenshot of the box office figures on his official social media accounts, simply captioning it “Thank God,” expressing his gratitude for the overwhelming public support the film has received since its release.
“Barshama” is a satirical comedy set against the backdrop of the high school final exams, specifically on the day of the Arabic language exam, which takes place in a private exam room. The film depicts the exam room transforming into a chaotic battleground of widespread cheating, humorously exploring the interplay of interests and social classes. The film stars a constellation of stars, including Reham Abdel Ghafour, Mustafa Gharib, Bassem Samra, Hatem Salah, and Arfa Abdel Rasoul.
On another note, Hesham Maged revealed details of his upcoming film project, titled “Karim,” confirming that the story is based on true events that were presented to him some time ago. Maged explained that the film is currently in the writing stage, and preparations are scheduled to begin soon. It is written by Sherine Diab and directed by Khaled Diab.
