If you’re a follower of the “Beard Meats Food” YouTube channel, you know the secret to this Briton’s popularity. The eating contestant, Adam Moran, better known as “Beard,” travels the world’s restaurants to conquer challenges, often emerging victorious with a blend of sarcastic humor and terrifyingly ravenous food consumption.
The “Big Jud” Challenge in Idaho
In his latest episode, filmed in Boise, Idaho, the video garnered over 2.5 million views in its first 24 hours. The video’s catchy title reads: “Only one person could beat the biggest burger at Man vs. Food in Idaho.”
Adam begins the episode with his usual sarcasm, describing an old news report about the Big Jud challenge as “weak and pathetic,” but he quickly faces the reality at the table.
What’s in the giant meal?
Beard had to finish a meal costing approximately $46 in just 30 minutes. The meal consisted of:
Two one-pound steaks (about a kilogram of meat).
Ten bacon sticks.
Two layers of mushrooms (which Adam clearly disliked), and layers of blue cheese and Swiss cheese.
A huge amount of fries and a drink.
Hilarious Moments: Mispronunciation and “Potato Sauce”
The show wasn’t without its comedic moments, especially Adam’s utter failure to pronounce the name of the city of Boise correctly, something the locals might forgive him for, given that he’s from Leeds, England.
While he was eating “brutally” as usual, the locals advised him to try the famous “Fry Sauce” of Idaho, which they simply described as a mixture of mayonnaise and ketchup. He also did not forget at the end of the challenge to order a “Huckleberry shake” as a dessert, a tradition he always follows after crushing the main meals.
