The Public Prosecution heard the testimony of artist Ahmed Magdy regarding the report he filed concerning the break-in at his private office. During the investigation, he presented documents confirming that he has no partners in the office, denying claims by some individuals that they were partners with him.
Ahmed Magdy left the Public Prosecution headquarters after the investigation concluded and his testimony was heard. The contracts and documents related to the office were reviewed, and the building’s security guard also testified about the incident.
Attending the investigation with Ahmed Magdy were lawyers Ehab El-Sherbiny, Mohamed Abdel Aziz, and Shaaban Saeed, who is also the legal advisor to the Actors’ Syndicate.
In a related matter, the Qasr El-Nil Prosecution ordered the release of Islam Kh., a carpenter, on his own recognizance, and Ahmed A. on bail of 5,000 Egyptian pounds each, following their accusation of attempting to break into Ahmed Magdy’s office.
The prosecution requested an investigation by security services into the circumstances of the incident, and ordered the seizure of several items, including a lock cylinder and a screwdriver, which were placed in the prosecution’s storage pending further investigation.
The incident began when the production company owned by artist Ahmed Magdy in Qasr El Nil was targeted in an attempted break-in. The attack stemmed from a financial dispute concerning filming equipment. Police intervened and apprehended those involved.
The dispute involved an exchange of accusations between the parties, and the prosecution is continuing its investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident and the true nature of the dispute over the filming equipment, as well as examining the evidence related to the incident.
