British content creator Mitch Lane is preparing for a breathtaking challenge for a noble cause: skydiving to support a charity that cares for the homeless in his hometown of Wolverhampton.
From £5 Meals to Charity
Mitch Lane rose to fame on TikTok during the coronavirus lockdown with his project @mealsbymitch, offering innovative tips on how to feed a family on just £5. This led to him publishing two books on budget-friendly cooking.
As an ambassador for the charity Good Shepherd, the father of three plans to perform a tandem skydive from 13,000 feet above Teltstock Airfield in Shropshire.
Facing Fears for a Noble Cause
Regarding this challenge, Mitch said:
“It will be a huge challenge for me; I have never been a fan of heights, so I will definitely face my fears on this adventure. It is a great honor for me to be part of this wonderful society.”
The Importance of the “First Meal” in the Recovery Journey
Tom Hayden, CEO of the Good Shepherd charity, praised Mitch’s efforts, saying, “Mitch has been supporting our work for some time, particularly through the Community Central, which provides essential goods at subsidized prices. We believe that everything starts with a meal; food is the first step in building the trust and relationships that support a person on their recovery journey, and Mitch’s passion for cooking will greatly enhance our work.”
Mitch Lane is scheduled to make his daring jump on July 11, amidst anticipation from his followers who have supported him on his journey from a humble kitchen to the clouds.
