In a display of wrestling and acting legend John Cena’s strict adherence to social norms, a video has gone viral on social media showing a tense confrontation between Cena and popular content creator Harry Daniels, known for surprising celebrities by singing for them.
The incident began when Daniels approached Cena at a café and started singing a verse from Taylor Swift’s “Invisible String.” Cena didn’t allow him to finish the song, however. He stood up and interrupted, saying, “Let’s start with a greeting first… Hello, I’m John, nice to meet you.”
When Daniels asked if he could sing, Cena countered with a direct question: “For what purpose?” When Daniels replied that he sings for everyone, Cena responded firmly, “Well, I don’t buy what you sell,” prompting Daniels to apologize and leave immediately.
Apology and Widespread Reaction
Harry Daniels later admitted his mistake, commenting on the video: “This is my fault. I didn’t follow proper etiquette. My apologies to John Cena. My approach was so bad that it completely went wrong.”
Cena’s Future After Retirement
This appearance comes at a time when Cena is focusing on his career after officially retiring from wrestling last December. During his participation in the MEGACon festival in Orlando this past March, he stated that he is working hard to determine his next path within WWE, but in an administrative or advisory role outside the ring, emphasizing his enthusiasm to be an “integrated” part of the organization’s new structure.
