Egyptian rapper Wegz released the music video for his new song “B.B King,” featuring Saudi artist Dahoom Al-Talasi, on YouTube and various digital platforms. This collaboration brings together two of the most prominent rising stars in the Arab music scene.
This marks the first collaboration between Wegz and Dahoom Al-Talasi. The song blends Wegz’s signature contemporary hip-hop style with touches of “desert blues,” inspired by North African folklore, giving the track a unique musical character that combines modernity and tradition.
The video was filmed in Egypt and Saudi Arabia last year and directed by Nadeem George. Wegz wrote the lyrics himself, reflecting his distinctive style and musical vision.
“B.B King” comes as part of the releases of the second part of the album “Aqareb”, which includes 12 songs and witnesses the participation of a number of Arab names, including the Moroccan rapper Rasti in the song “Mafish Waqt”, and the Yemeni artist Hamoud Al-Sama in “Nour Eini”, in addition to the prominent collaboration with the King Mohamed Mounir in the song “Kalam Fursan”, in a step that reflects a wide musical diversity within the album.
