Following recent rumors about actor Bassem Samra’s potential collaboration with Mohamed Ramadan in a Ramadan 2027 drama series, Samra clarified the situation.
During an interview with the program ET Bil Arabi, Samra explained that discussing his participation in Ramadan dramas is premature, especially since details regarding the upcoming season are still unclear.
He added, “I admire Mohamed Ramadan, and if I were to have the opportunity to participate in one of his series, the entire Egyptian audience would know,” indicating his appreciation for Ramadan’s artistic experience and large fan base. He emphasized that any potential collaboration remains purely speculative and has not yet materialized into a concrete project.
Regarding his current projects, Samra revealed that he is continuing to film “Banat Faten” (Faten’s Daughters), which reunites him with the renowned actress Yousra. The film is expected to be a major success upon its release, especially given the participation of a number of prominent stars and filmmakers.
The film is written by Amina Mustafa and Mohamed Nader, produced by Ali Bani Hamad’s “Cinetopia Films,” with cinematography by Bishoy Roosevelt, music by composer Amin Bouhafa, and directed by Mohamed Nader. This collaboration brings together diverse artistic elements striving to deliver a unique experience.
“Banat Faten” also stars Huda El Mufti, Sudanese actor Mustafa Shehata, Sudanese actress Islam Mubarak, Basma Nabil, and Hamdi Heikal, along with several young stars. Hassan Malek makes a guest appearance, adding to the film’s diverse cast and characters.
The last work of the artist Bassem Samra was the series “Magical Eye”, which was shown in the last Ramadan season, alongside the artist Essam Omar, and Faten Saeed, directed by Al-Sadir Masoud.
