The film “EgyBest” has entered the list of highest-grossing opening weeks in Egyptian box office history, earning 31 million Egyptian pounds in its first week.
This figure places the film tenth on the list of highest-grossing opening weeks in Egypt, in strong competition with several major films, most notably “Barshama,” which tops the list with revenues approaching 100 million Egyptian pounds.
“Barshama” holds the top spot, followed by “Welad Rizk 3: The Judge” with revenues of 93.9 million Egyptian pounds, while “Siko Siko” came in third with revenues reaching 57.8 million Egyptian pounds.
“Beit El Rouby” took fourth place with revenues of 50.1 million Egyptian pounds, and “El Harifa” came in fifth with revenues of 42.6 million Egyptian pounds, while “El Harifa 2: The Comeback” rounded out the top six.
The seventh spot went to “Welad Rizk 2” with revenues of 35.4 million Egyptian pounds, while “Casablanca” came in eighth with 34.9 million pounds, and “Kira & El Gin” took ninth place with revenues of 33.1 million pounds.
The film “EgyBest” came in tenth on the list, achieving a strong start during the Eid al-Fitr film season.
The film is inspired by true events, revolving around the case of the popular website “EgyBest” within a suspenseful dramatic framework. It stars Ahmed Malek, Salma Abu Deif, and rapper Marwan Pablo in his acting debut, alongside Michel Milad, Ahmed El Rafei, and Ahmed Abdel Hamid. The film is written by Ahmed Hosny and directed by Marwan Abdel Moneim.
